The Student Union together with the Students’ Clubs and the Student Affairs Department organise a full programme of activities throughout the year. Some of the regular events are listed below. |
Early September
Freshy Week welcom the new students Clavis Portae. New students are initiated into the ways of the university and given the token “keys to the door”. |

October
Halloween Party with ghosts, costumes and trick-or-treating. |

Early November
Mini marathon, round the campus. This event is open to all staff, including non academic staff such as the guards, cleaners, etc. and all students of the University. The staff and students of the College at Asian U also participate. |

November Loy Kratong. Traditional festival plus Kratong competition and Ms. / Mr. Loy Kratong competition. |

Jan–February Teaching Project. Staff and students team up to teach English at a local primary school. |

14 February
Valentine’s Day with the Music Club. An evening party outside with roses for your sweetheart, etc. |
Mid-March
Day out at Hard Rock Hotel, Pattaya. Sports, games and swimming activities. |

Early May
End of year Ensemble. Students and staff perform to entertain everyone. The Students’ Drama and Music Clubs put on their best performances. |
The Student Union elects its own president and committees each year. The Union is organised and administered by an Executive Committee of students. All registered students automatically become members of the Union throughout the period of their studies. The Union has a budget under their own control. Provided that it is managed within the terms of its constitution and guidelines, Asian U authorities do not intervene. However, guidance is always available from the Student Affairs Advisor.
The Student Union arranges social events as well as the special events at the end of each semester.
The Sports Centre and Student Union cooperate for any sporting events taking place either within or outside Asian U. |
